Terry O’Donovan, Performer

Image of Terry O'DonovanTerry is a performer and director who trained at Central School of Speech and Drama after studying Film & Drama at the University of Reading.

As co-founder and Artistic Director of dANTE or dIE, he has co-produced, performed and co-directed their various dance-theatre productions, including La Fille à la Mode (National Theatre & Theatre Royal Haymarket), Side Effects (Laban Theatre, Linbury Studio ROH & Rich Mix) and Caliper Boy (Dublin Fringe Festival). As a performer his credits include Dance Marathon (Barbican/Dance Umbrella), Plum & Pickle (Half Moon Theatre), Masque Arias (Royal Shakespeare Company), bodies in urban spaces (Dance Umbrella London) and The Winter’s Tale (Dir. Ed Hall: Watermill & National Tour for Propeller).

He has toured the UK and Ireland with Ragroof Theatre’s outdoor show Shall We Dance (including National Theatre’s Watch This Space). He is currently developing a new site-specific production with Dante or Die in association with the Almeida Theatre and is developing a new production called Ten Out of Ten, commissioned by Ovalhouse Theatre.
