reCyculture

An installation project inspired by the Creative Producer, inspired by her work on Bicycle Ballet.

reCyculture is a sculptural, installation project, using re-cycled bicycles to create iconic imagery in unexpected, urban and rural landscapes. It is a celebration of the bicycle in all its forms and contexts, rooted in the communities through local people’s creative responses to the project.

The project was commissioned by Wandsworth Arts Festival in 2011 and 2012, and for the Mayor of London’s Showtime programme animating London during the Olympics.

A Kent-wide project also took place in 2012, working with local communities to recycle bikes, collect stories and create high impact installations across the county, in response to the Paralympic Cycling events in Brands Hatch, near Sevenoaks.
