Jodie Buck – Rehearsal Director, Hadleigh

Jodie had trained in Irish, and Hip-Hop before she found a passion for contemporary dance at the age of 16. She started contemporary at A level, where she studied at Palmers college in Essex, before continuing her training at the University of Chichester.  Jodie enjoys teaching, and in the summer works at impulse Leisure centre as part of a Summer Dance programme teaching ages from 3-16+. Jodie has worked with Lila Dance Company as part of the Extra curriculum Chi collective group in her second year at university, which she loved as it challenged and developed her physically ability. Jodie was chosen to be part of 3Fall Dance Company in her final year at University, and went on tour to perform works created by Cai Tomas, Liz Richards, and Aya Kobayashi.  Alongside Teaching, Jodie would love to continue performing with a Company in the next few years, and hopes to Choreograph and form her own Company in the future.

Jodie is very excited to work on the Bicycle Ballet Project in Hadleigh, as she is used to working with the community, and enjoys teaching enthusiastic participants.  As well as broadening her creative mind, she feels the project will help her gain great experience in directing a set piece, heighten her teaching skills and benefit her for the future.
