Michael Kitchin, Performer

Originally from Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, Michael began his dance training at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, before graduating from London Contemporary Dance School with a first class BA Hons degree in 2011.  here he worked with Rober Clarke, Tom Dale, Amy Bell & Valentina Golfieri and with the Young Vic for ‘Pictures from an Exhibition.’

Upon graduating, he joined EDge, the postgraduate performance company from London Contemporary Dance School, touring nationally and internationally with works by Sasha Waltz, James Wilton, Matthias Sperling, Tony Adigun and Rachel Lopez de La Nieta.

Michael has worked professionally with Dora Frankel Dance, Dog Kennel Hill Project and Rie:Pete Dance and Music, and performed in Festivals such as Does My Art Look Big In This? and Sssh Boom Sssh Boom VI.  Michael is a founding member of The Uncollective who have choreographed and performed works at Hackney Wicked, Spontaneous Combustion, Resolution!, The Shift and Agitart Festival in Spain.  Michael also spent 4 months studying and performing at Purchast College in New York.
